Of course, signs of disco's resurgence are everywhere: dubstep pioneers are trading in their filthy wobbles for shiny synths, a documentary was made about disco's secret political subtext, aaaaand I heard that goddamn Todd Terje song at least three times last weekend.

But despite manypredictions that we're quickly barelling towards a "summer of disco," the limp-wristed, glitter-covered genre still plays second fiddle to more popular forms of dance music, i.e. house and techno. Which is why we need more dudes like The Swiss—two disco-loving dudes who are not, in fact, from Switzerland, but rather hail from the city of Adelaide in Australia.The alias was apparently inspired by their love for the "cheesier" side of disco, although they could've just stuck to their real names—Luke Million and Tony Mitolo—and still sounded like diamond cane-wielding pimps. (Sidenote: their latest EP Kiss to Kiss just dropped yesterday on Kitsuné, and the cover art seems to be…blowup sex dolls or pigs who wish they were humans. I can't tell.)Their mix for us—the last installment of Kitsuné's THUMP residency—is a supremely groovy amalgam of disco and funk that doesn't feign any other objective than to get your ass on the dancefloor.
