Protestors gathered at Istanbul record store Velvet IndieGround on Saturday to protest an attack against the store during a listening party for Radiohead's new album. On Friday night, about 20 men used sticks and bottles to reportedly attack the record store and its listeners for listening to music and drinking during the holy month of Ramadan.

On Saturday, protestors gathered at the store in response to the attack. Protestors chanted, "Time will come when the tide will turn and the AK Party will be called into account." The AK Party is responsible for recent changes in Turkey such as banning alcohol advertising and tightening restrictions of its sale. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, founder of the AK Party, does not drink alcohol.

Reuters reports police fired tear gas, rubber pellets and water cannons to disperse the protestors. Radiohead has not released a statement.
