JayKode, Goshfather & Jinco Rework Jennifer Paige's Classic Pop Tune "Crush"

It's just...a little crush...Not like I faint, every time we touch.

Jennifer Paige's "Crush" just got a bass overhaul by JayKode, Goshfather & Jinco. With some Flume inspired future bass vibes intertwined with a quintessential hip-hop backdrop, this 1998 track is revamped with 2014 prowess. Goshfather & Jinco have reinvented the drive behind this track with vintage '98 with future synths, a thick bass, and JayKode steering the way with the song's new progression. Goshfather & Jinco told THUMP, "working with Jaykode was definitely a treat. He has a great sense for chord progression and once we broke the project open this idea just flew out of us."

JayKode's smooth progressions couple with Lauren Vyce's vocal chops in what gives this reinvented piece a cinematic vibe that has Michael-Bay-movie-trailer-backing-track written all over. JayKode commented, "Lauryn's vocal chops compliment the drop in a subtle but powerful way," no doubt the apex of this track is in the subtlety of the build-up.

The collaboration aspect of this track is impressive – the NorCal sound of Goshfather & Jinco ties together perfectly with the LA-based JayKode. The '98 throwback template is keen as the infrastructure, but where the genius lies in this track is the tools that each artist brings to the construction.
