Next week sees the release of the third instillment of Radio 1 DJ and soundsystem-smasher Monki's Red Bull infused EP series. Monki and Friends Vol.3. Stuffed to the gills with gooey goodies, and featuring the likes of SG Lewis, New York Transit Authority and a slew of others, it's an absolute corker. To get you in the mood for it, we asked Monki to send us over an exclusive track from the EP just to get everyone as excited about it as we are. Being nice, she duly obliged.
What we got was the effervescent, bubbling, crisper-than-cava "A Lot of Words" by Lxury and Billie Black. We're really into it and we think you will be too. It sounds like lidos and beer gardens, early morning coffees and tapas. It sounds like the summer we all think we'll have ever year even though we know that we'll never get the kind of summer we all think we deserve.
If the prospect of a hot new EP isn't enough, Monki's got another trick up her sleeve.
As is customary now, she's throwing a bash to celebrate the release of the EP, taking over Dalston Roof Park next Thursday. Check out the full line up for the party below and start daydreaming about long, lazy afternoons in the garden, where your biggest worry is wether to dollop mayonnaise or mustard on your hot dog.
