THUMP has teamed up with London-based Night Slugs and their Los Angeles affiliates Fade to Mind to create the short documentary Icy Lake, directed by Wills Glasspiegel with Night Slugs co-founder L-Vis 1990.Icy Lake uses the labels' joint re-release of the obscure house track "Icy Lake" as a jumping off point for exploring connections between 90s tribal house, vogue culture, and the NYC underground past and present. Along the way, we hear from Bok Bok, Kingdom, Total Freedom and MikeQ as Icy Lake follows the endless inspiration loop of how tracks are born, forgotten, rediscovered, and given new life by subsequent generations.
