Max Frost's "White Lies" Gets an Electro Remix

Bi-coastal production duo The Soundmen twist the track into an ethereal electronic R&B ditty.

Max Frost is a Chris Evans look-alike with a bluesy warble and a way with melody. His track "White Lies" was featured in a Beats by Dre commercial earlier this year and spent the Spring nestling into iTunes collections around the world.

"Its been a great way to start reaching new fans before the album drops," Frost tells THUMP about the placement. "It's gotten the song into people's ears before radio and I feel very lucky to have gotten that so early in my career."

When it came time to think about remixes, the main challenge was transferring the soulful, organic feel of the original into an electronic arrangement. In Frost's words: "I wanted something that felt fresh and new without totally being unrecognizable from the original. I gave a few people a shot and chose the best."

His choice was bi-coastal production duo The Soundmen. Their remix maintains the integrity of the original but adds a bouncy swagger and some synthy depth."It's always fascinating to hear someone else's perspective on a song," says Frost. "Its creativity in a two way conversation."
