Étienne de Crécy's Return is Anything Butt Basic

Bump a new remix of the French OGs new tune (and yes, the title is on purpose).

The rumors are true, people, Étienne de Crécy's Super Discount series has returned. First dropped in 1996, this iconic release put the famed French producer on the map with classic tunes like "Prix Choc," and remains to the day one of the most famed re-occuring release projects. After his analog-only return back in 2004 with fellow countrymen Cassius, Ètienne is back a decade later with Super Discount 3. So far we've got to hear two tracks from the long-awaited revival; "Night (Cut The Crap)" and "Hashtag My Ass," a rocking remix by buzzy French duo Twinsmatic, we have for your ear canals.

Adjusting his passion project for the digital age (and keeping up with his trend of ingenious marketing), "Hashtag My Ass" even comes along with a super-creative interactive website. Which you should check out. Right here. More than often these "decade-later" revivals can come off as half-assed. Luckily for us all, Étienne always keep it 100.
