Savoy Teases New Album (And Samples Biggie) with "TEKNOTIZE"
Brooklyn's in the house.
Boulder, Colorado-bred, Brooklyn-based, and revered for their retina-boggling live shows (lasers, lots of 'em), Savoy pushes a hybrid dance sound that is made for the party. Throughout their career they've experimented with a large plethora of beats, mostly leaning towards the coupling of shreddy-rock and high-octane electro, as well as the occasional interlacing of popular hip-hop samples. All in all, there's something for everyone to rage to, and with.
On the heels of a yet-to-be-named new album, the trio has sent us over their newest single "TEKNOTIZE" which sees them distance themselves slightly from the electro-ness of some of their past work, instead choosing to pull more from bass, techno, and a slinky trap underbelly. They also sample Notorious B.I.G's seminal "Hypnotize" which only serves to add to the anthemic nature of the release, as well as the catchy title.
"Teknotize" is officially David's word of the week. @DLGarber
