This past New Year's Eve, THUMP headed out west to co-present Minimal Efforts's NYE bash in Downtown LA., a celebration that promised a "return to the infamously labyrinthian halls of the Belasco Theater to offer Los Angeles yet another journey into the depths of the international House and Techno scene."
Although that pitch might seem like a lot to live up to, just look at the lineup they were able to wrangle for the party: the headliners included andhim, H.O.S.H., Jackmaster, Danny Daze, J.Phlip, Fur Coat, Louie Fresco, Marques Wyatt, Droog and more. Suffice to say, although New Years Eve parties can infamously fall short of expectations, we totally got what we came for and it was a pretty perfect night.
In case you weren't able to be there in person, we asked photographer Jamie Rosenberg to document the festivities. He also gave us a short recap of what it was like to be there, in the midst of the action: "Minimal Effort NYE exceeded all expectations," he said. "The techno was pounding and the house was thumping. Danny Daze even threw in a little drum n bass. All four rooms didn't disappoint with their line ups. When midnight hit, the crowd went wild as they welcomed 2016."
Check out Jamie's photos from the party below, and find out what some of the included DJs hope to achieve in 2016.
