Brooklyn Venue Palisades Is Most Likely Closed For Good

According to a recent Instagram photo taken of the venue's front facade, the beloved indie space is being put up for rent.

Photo via Instagram. Following recent venue closures of Verboten, Cityfox's Brooklyn Mirage, Santos Party House, and Pacha,it looks like beloved Brooklyn music venue, Palisades, is being put up for rent. Back in early June, news broke that the venue would be closed for most of the summer (though management initially tweeted it would only be for a few days), after they were shut down by police during a Northside festival show for what appeared to be building violations pertaining to their sprinkler system.

The venue's main booker, Arial Bitran, wrote to Resident Advisor that they would be moving all gigs elsewhere and potentially reopening later in August. Now, unfortunately, THUMP has come across an Instagram photo that shows a "For Rent" sign on the front facade of the venue, indicating that they may be closing shop for good.

Currently the venue has two upcoming shows listed on their events page—one scheduled to take place this Saturday at Market Hotel, the other at the Paper Box—and have not made any further announcements about their status as a venue. In an attempt to contact the venue for an official statement, our email bounced back.

The space formerly known as Palisades is up for rent ;(
