On Friday, Phantasy Sound dropped Friendly Ghost/Ascension Hymn, a special two-track 12" from U on vinyl. The release comes on the heels of U's spectacular, 16-track album, Vienna Orchestra, released in May."Friendly Ghost," the first single released from the 12", is a percussion-driven cacophony of sounds including propulsive bongos and spindly samples with an off-kilter, yet dance-floor ready beat. It's far darker and weirder than anything U has released. "Ascension Hymn," the second track on the 12", is reportedly 13 minutes long.Around 300 copies of Friendly Ghost/Ascension Hymn were pressed.
