Lose Your Shit to Psychemagik's Menacing Remix of Xinobi's "Bogota"

The UK masters of disco edits have flipped the switch to paranoia.

For Portuguese producer Xinobi, aka Bruno Cardoso, the hours from midnight onwards are when he finds inspiration for his tracks. In an interview last year with They Make Music, Cardoso explained that he usually has a creative epiphany at about 2am and finishes most of his tracks at about 6am. Perhaps the nocturnal working schedule helps him get into the right mind for his dancefloor-primed acid and dub influenced productions.

"Bogota" from his debut album, 1975, certainly belongs to those early hours, with its brooding bassline evoking the dark corners of the club at its peak. UK disco edit masters Psychemagik have been enlisted for remix duties, transforming the piano chords of the original into something much more foreboding and paranoiac.

Xinobi's debut, 1975, is out now.
