RBMA crew confirmed to be safe.

After last night's devastating terrorist attacks in Paris, Red Bull Music Academy Paris has suspended all events until November 19th.

This afternoon, a representative from the organization replied to an email from THUMP with the following statement:

Suite aux tragiques événements survenus ce weekend et conformément aux recommandations des autorités publiques, la Red Bull Music Academy suspend ses manifestations jusqu'au jeudi 19 novembre. Toutes nos pensées vont aux victimes et à leurs familles.

Following the tragic events of this weekend and in keeping with the recommendations of the [French] authorities, Red Bull Music Academy is suspending all events until Thursday, November 19th. The Kamasi show is therefore cancelled. All of our thoughts go out to the victims and their families.

Among the cancelled events is a live set by Kamasi Washington, who was scheduled to perform with his band at Le Trabendo on Sunday night. This evening, Washington dedicated his set at London's Barbican Theatre to the victims in the attacks:

I'm so saddened by what happened in Paris yesterday. Dedicating every note I play tonight to those that have lost. pic.twitter.com/XaR0DvvNLJ

Last night, RBMA editor and lecture host Lauren Martin, a former THUMP editor, took to Twitter to confirm that all RBMA staff are safe and sound:

For friends who are checking in: all of the RBMA crew in Paris are safe and accounted for.
