Skrillex and Diplo Won Both Major Electronic Awards at the Grammys

The 2016 Grammy Awards begin at 8 pm EST, but like every year most of the awards geared toward dance music have been handed out in the pre-show. Upholding the Academy's infatuation with all things Sonny Moore, Skrillex and Diplo's Jack Ü project took home both Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Album.

In the Best Dance Recording category, their Justin Bieber-featuring "Where Are Ü Now" beat out a formidable cast of nominees including Flying Lotus, the Chemical Brothers, and Galantis. The album that track was drawn from, Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü, bested Jamie xx's In Colour, Disclosure's Caracal, and Caribou's Our Love, among others, for Best Dance/Electronic Album.

Dave Aubé won Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical, for his rework of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" over fellow nominees like CFCF and Kaskade. For the full list of winners as it unfolds, head over to the Grammys' Twitter account.
