[UPDATE August 12]: The Stranger Things soundtrack is now streaming in full, listen below.Stranger Things, the addicting tale of youthful angst and telekinesis, is Netflix's show of the summer. One of its most enticing attributes is its 80s-synth heavy score by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, half of the Austin synth quartet S U R V I V E.Netflix and Lakeshore Records announced yesterday that they're teaming up to release the soundtrack in two parts. Part I drops digitally tomorrow; followed by a CD release on September 16. Part II is out digitally August 19, and its CD release is September 23.Unless you can't wait until tomorrow, or you need a refresher of how excited you should be, Dixon and Stein released two snippets today from the soundtrack, one from "A Kiss" premiered by Entertainment Weekly and another from "She'll Kill You", streaming on Pitchfork. And even though it clocks in at only two minutes, the digital strings and distant, power-ballad percussion in "She'll Kill You" are viscerally inspiring.
