Unfortunately, Michael Silver (a.k.a. CFCF) didn't win the Grammy this year for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical (which went to Dave Audé's remix of "Uptown Funk"). But the fact that the Montreal composer and producer was even nominated is a pretty big deal—especially considering it was his rework of violinist Daniel Hope's version of Max Richter's "Berlin By Overnight" that was nominated, and not some EDM banger.

Over the past year, Silver's been busy, releasing two albums and scoring an art film by Björk collaborator Andrew Thomas Huang. Presently, he's working on a soundtrack for a film by David Lynch's son Austin, while finding time to put out a mini-album On Vacation on Uruguay label International Feel.

Drawing on temperate Balearic beats, contemporary classical, and quiet-storm jazz influences, the record's not out until February 19, but you can stream it now via Red Bull.
