​UZ Exhumes Trap with "Frontier" EP, Announces "Revealing" Reddit AMA

Remember last week when UZ retired his 'Trap Shit' series and, in doing so, killed off trap entirely as a genre? Well, uh, cancel that. Trap isn't dead, honey, it's just sleeping.

There's been a flurry of activity from the masked marauder's camp today as UZ has surprise-released the Frontier EP alongside a stuffed BitTorrent bundle and the promise of a Reddit AMA to take place on July 21 at 5PM EST.

Fittingly, the EP's first track, "Gladiator," rumbles in with funeral bells until a choir sample and familiar 808s kick in. The 4-track release is a deft take on trapstyle traditions. UZ throws a lot of energy and craft in his attempt to breathe life back into genre.

In addition to EP, UZ has also announced the release of a massive BitTorrent bundle containing 45 songs, including the aforementioned Frontier EP, unreleased tracks, remixes, collaborations and mixes.

Not limited to just audio goodies, the bundle will also feature wallpaper, a Trap Translator (ШῌỊϾῌ ⱢЄ₮Ϩ ΫØṲ ШЯỊ₮Є ⱢỊКЄ ₮ῌỊϨ), a key to unlock the mythical Trap Shit V10, and a rap contest for a chance to appear on an office release with UZ himself.

Lastly, at 5PM on July 21, UZ will take on a Reddit Ask Me Anything, in which he's promised to "speak" for the first time ever. Press materials claim it'll be the first chance to "see the world from behind the mask." Whether or not that means he'll announce his identity is yet to be seen.
