When Saints Go Machine - “Iodine” (Zed Bias Remix) [THUMP Exclusive]

UK garage pioneer Zed Bias turns "Iodine" into a sexy-but-sinister tune you'd put on before jumping into bed with Voldemort.

The aptly named When Saints Go Machine—a four-piece band of pale-skinned Danes with the brooding good looks of Twilight heartthrobs—make ethereal pop with an undercurrent of dark, industrial brooding. Their sophomore album Infinity Pool, released on !K7 Records in May, sounded like a robot angel's wistful paean to a post-apocalyptic city. Or just…the perfect soundtrack to slow-jog to around the icy streets of Berlin.

In this remix of "Iodine," the second single off Infinity Pool, UK garage pioneer Zed Bias (aka Maddslinky) reduces Nikolaj Manuel's haunting vocals into whispers that creep in the spaces between hard and dark dubstep punches. The result is something even more sinister than the original—but in a sexy way, like the kind of thing you'd put on while freakin' with Voldemort. (Yep, we went there.)
