Wildlife! Deploys Quivering Club Sounds on Official EP Debut for Mixpak

The record will debut in sound installation form at Brooklyn's SIGNAL Gallery this weekend.

Swiss-born, NYC-based artist, Wildlife!, has shared his first official release for Brooklyn label Mixpak, following last year's more informal Feverpitch drop. The Patterns EP finds Samuel Riot teasing out a quivering and tensile, low-blood-sugar-in-the-club vibe, all slurred beats, discordant melody, and griping blasts of noise.

In 2015 he received his Masters in Contemporary Arts Practice from Bern University of the Arts, so it's not surprising that the record will take on a second, site-specific life as a sound installation at Brooklyn's SIGNAL Gallery. For the occasion he has collaborated with artist Jesse Hlebo and multidisciplinary platform Nitemind Creative, and you can witness the fruits of their labor this Saturday from 7-10 at 260 Johnson Ave in Brooklyn.

Previously, Riot combined his percussion expertise with English producer Murlo's lush melodic intuition on an incessantly bustling collab, and ran us through his top five favorite punk and reggae songs.
