Whether you're spinning a bar mitzvah, dive bar, Marquee Las Vegas, or a DIY party in the storage closet of a local meat market, there will always be those patrons who don't quite understand the barrier between selector and listener, therefore thinking it's OK to peddle their iPhone in your face with Drake requests when you're clearly playing a vinyl-only set of Italo disco.So this year at TBD Fest in Sacramento, we started up our new THUMP Shorts series, Hold The Line, by rounding up some artists like Holy Ghost, Groundislava, Autograf, The Glitch Mob, and Kitty, to share the worst ever song requests they've had to endure throughout their careers. We also had them share the deets on what exactly they were offered to rinse said track, as well as what (non monetary) hoops the requester would have to crawl through to get their so-called anthem played to the crowd.
