Wonderwheel Recordings, Brooklyn-based artistNickodemus' label, built a name for itself by bringing a plethora of the world's diverse musical cultures together on the dancefloor. In October of last year the label scored a huge win with the release of Khalab & Baba—a collaborative album from Italian beatmaker, DJ Khalab, and Malian musician, Griot "Baba" Sissoko.

The album's "Tata" won track of the year at Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Awards in January of this year. Now the record's been given an additional stamp of approval by another authority in worldly dance music, Black Acre label heads, Clap! Clap!, another Peterson-favorite and specialists in world music fit for the rave. It layers the track's original vocals over a 4/4 house beat with quick hits of strings and some in-your-face jungle breaks—and it's an absolute monster.
