London producer Blawan today shares the first full-length track from his new alias Kilner, off the forthcoming Walk Type EP for Berlin imprint Avian. 'Filk' drags along like an anvil against concrete, anxiously fidgeting a little with a percussion loop, but for the most part showing signs of little more than an unexpressive, enclosed pulse. The sense of restraint is only heightened by the overhanging toxic cloud of midrange synth gestures, which writhe and wiggle like pinned butterflies.

The producer gave THUMP some backstory for the track. "'Filk' was the first track for this project that would try bridge the gap between the abstract pieces of the EP and the more club-friendly ones," he said. "It also subsequently gave me the initial idea that the collection of tracks would fit well with the Avian label."

Walk Type will be released on November 28 on double pack 12" and digital formats.
