The biggest single on Nick Catchdubs' debut album earlier this year, Smoke Machine, was "Full House," a lighthearted but heavy party rap track featuring Troy Ave and Heems. Now that it's been a few months, Fools Gold has decided to re-kindle the embers, if you will, with a remix EP called More Smoke, featuring edits from folks like Slowbody, Udachi, Astronomar, Kraymer, and and ETC!ETC!.Today, we're giving you a first taste with a remix of "Full House" by Pittsburg's own Buku.

Where the original was rooted firmly in the major key, Buku has flipped the script and sent things in a darker direction, outfitting the track with a trap bass pattern and strobing synths. As Catchdubs told THUMP via email, "I love how Buku puts his own stamp on heavier electronic music. So many tracks in that world are more or less identical; I wasn't really interested in getting a 'twerk' remix of this song just because it's in the right tempo range. But Buku turned 'Full House' into something that sounds more like old Nine Inch Nails than a rap remix. Goth party y'all!" Stream the track below, and snag the full remix EP via Fools Gold when it's out this Friday, October 9.
