Everything Good Ever about New Wave, Boiled Down to One Sample

The Human League's "Don't You Want Me?" just got a whole lot more cocktail bar

The Human League's 1981 hit "Don't You Want Me" is a classic of the new wave era. It's got all the synth, melody, and melodrama you could ever ask for. But everyone knows the best part is the opening line: "You were working as a waitress in a cocktail ba-a-ar."

Lucky for all of us, a YouTube user named Svantana has removed all the other, less awesome, lyrics from the song and replaced them with the opening refrain. The internet seems pretty stoked about it.

So next time you're too drunk to remember the words to the tune at karaoke, just slip on this version and you'll never run amiss.
