Francisco Allendes' Remix of Citizenn's "Lady" Is Thunderous Techno Goodness

The Chilean producer lends a little extra weight

In the five short years since he landed in Ibiza, Chilean producer Francisco Allendes has become a staple of the White Isle, connecting the dots between such island mega-brands as Cocoon, HYTE, Ants (Ushuaïa), Cadenza, and Used + Abused. This remix of "Lady"—the closing track on Citizenn's debut album, Human Interface, for Crosstown Rebels—takes a surprising turn from the roly-poly tech-house that is typically Allendes' specialty. Turning the original's thick tribal percussion on its head, Allendes crafts a full-frontal assault of 20-story tall kicks and wide-open claps that stomp and snap with gleeful abandon while red-alert synths warn of imminent overload. It's a peak-hours tune so big that it promises to fill mammoth halls like Amnesia's Terrace or Spaces' main room, as well as vast open-air festival stages worldwide.
