Hot on the heels of a release for Berlin's Get Physical Music this January, Belgian techno duo GoldFFinch return to Tiga's Turbo Recordings with three new tracks (and two remixes) aimed straight at the dance floor. The duo's Proliferation EP kicks off with an expertly restrained lead track of the same name, while continually featuring a reliance on bleepy, loopy synth lines, and squared-away drum patterns giving nods to early Detroit. The title track has reportedly long been a DJ weapon for the popular techno duo, and shines via a shuffling high-hat, whispering vocal sample, and perfectly placed clap that takes the tune to dark, yet atmospheric levels of club-centric grandeur. "We've been sitting on these tracks for a while and fine tuning them in our sets," says GoldFFinch over email about the EP. "We've been tweaking them to make them as relentlessly hypnotic as possible."Check out "Proliferation" below and head to Boomkat for the full release.
