Landis LaPace is Far Too Good at House Music to be 18 Years Old

And we suggest the theory that the Floridian wunderkind is Claude VonStroke's illegitimate lovechild.

Usually when Florida gets in the news it's because a man had sex with an alligator or a toddler shot their grandmother in the face with a bb gun while on bath salts at a strip club. Here's some good news from America's dongle for once: This kid Landis LaPace from a little town called Lutz is one of the most precociously talented producers and DJs of house music we've heard in a long while.

In particular, LaPace favors a Dirtybird-inspired weirdo house sound and has already released on Billy Kenny's This Aint Bristol, Perfect Driver, and Main Course, so we're pretty sure that mucky fowl from San Francisco will soon be calling.

In this, LaPace's debut guest mix for THUMP, he lays out his perspective loud and clear: Chunky basslines, whirs and whizzes, latent horny undertones, and a classy curveball here and there. A few secret tunes punctuate proceedings along with Dirtybird-affiliates Justin Jay and Will Clarke. Elsewehere, Adam Port and Sirius Hood make the cut, and Mia Dora closes things out.

Hey, Claude VonStroke, did you ever have a frisky Floridian moment when you were 26? Eighteen years of beers, beards, booty house and burritos and this kid might be a spitting image of you.
