Recent Dim Mak signee LH4L has done a high speed remix of Miami-born, L.A.-based producer Madeaux's single "What U Need" featuring River Accorsi and Cassandra Kay. The original track is from Madeaux's debut EP for Brooklyn label Fool's Gold last fall, New Wav, and this remix is off the label's forthcoming 17-track compilation Night Shift.

Switching out the source material's soulful slow burn for pedal-to-the-metal adrenaline, LH4L's remix is carried by a frantic dembow rhythm intermeshed with synths that spew out lightbeams. The breakdown even sounds a little grungey in the Parisian's hands, made just a little more powerful by this sparser arrangement.

Speaking to THUMP about the track via email, he said: "I first heard of Madeaux maybe one year ago with his track 'Young Sinner.' When he asked me to do a remix off his EP, the choice was difficult because there were too many good tracks to choose from. 'Eennie Meenie Miney Moe' helped me a lot!"
