Listen to a Mix of Buttery Deep House from Stockholm Stalwart Mad Mats

Ahead of his set alongside Danny Krivit at Deep Into Soul's summer opening party, check out 45 minutes of smoother than silk deep house.

For five years now, Deep into Soul have been throwing the kind of parties that make you want to take your top off inside a dark'n'damp sweatbox in deepest South London. Which is a good thing, obviously. To celebrate the start of another summer's worth of events at the Prince of Wales in Brixton, they're bringing over two seriously big guns: the legendary NYC disco king Danny Krivit and Local Talk boss Mad Mats.

Former Swedish breakdancing champion Mats has been honing his craft since he started playing out in Stockholm in the mid 80s, going on to run the Raw Fusion club, and the aforementioned Local Talk label. Which means, in basic terms, that Mad Mats knows his shit. Which is why we asked him to put a mix together for us ahead of the party.

The result is 45 minutes of breezy soul, gritty funk, and smoother than butter deep house that'll have you reaching for suncream and cocktails quicker than you can say "ROOF PARTY!" This one's custom builts for sunny days and balmy evenings, so check it out below…

Deep Into Soul's summer terrace party takes place at the Prince of Wales, Brixton, on June 4th. Head here for tickets and more information.
