Listen to "Pandemic," The Bone-Rattling First Track Off Rabit's Debut Album

'Communion' promises to be the Houston producer's most politicized work yet.

The debut album from Rabit (Eric Burton) is coming out on Halloween eve (October 30)—and if the first track "Pandemic" is anything to go by, it's going to be fucking insane.

Titled Communion, the album will be released on Tri Angle Records, the label of "strange, unknowable, icky things" that also recently gave us this mind-blowing DJ spot from Bjork. Houston, Texas-based Burton has been churning out 12" and EPs that reshape club constructions into twisted, clanking, and thoroughly alien soundscapes. Communion promises to be his most politicized work yet, exploring issues like sexuality, gender, ownership of our natural bodies, media manipulation, and social/governmental injustices.
