Glaswegian record label LuckyMe has had a packed 2016, with significant releases including (but not limited to) Baauer's debut album, Aa; Inkke's new Secret Palace EP; Jacques Greene's comeback single; Bwana's Akira-inspired album, Capsule Pride; and a reissue series overseen by Éclair Fifi.

Now, the team is closing out the year while ushering in 2017 with its annual advent calendar. The free-downloads series began on December 24 with an ambient, melancholic track, "White Flag" by electronic-pop duo Lesser Pieces, and will continue through January 4. Other tracks include Bwana's celebratory "Choice & Consequence," Sam O.B.'s funky-sensual heater "Common Ground [12 Dance Mix]," S-Type's "Grad" (which the label describes as an "absolute screamer"), and today's gift, Inkke's "High Rise Prison." Listen to the first four tracks below, and check back daily for new additons.

Upon announcing the advent calendar's return, Lucky Me wrote on their website, "This time we usher out a traumatic year in which we all learned a healthy distrust of our once utopian internet. Since our inception we've used html to offer music from our roster—keeping our fingerprint on an increasingly corporate www. For those new to the label there's nothing you really need to know except that we've existed at the intersection of the underground and the mainstream for around 8 years now. We've helped forge a lot of genres and then moved away from them quickly. We create everything for this music ourselves. In downloading this music we hope you find your way to more of our work."

To download the tracks, head to LuckyMe's website. "If you like what we're doing," they add, "we ask you to consider making a donation towards Save The Children's 'Syrian Refugee Crisis Fund'. Thanks for your support."
