Jagwar Ma recently made a thunderous return to the fray with their single "O B 1." It's a good single, no, it's a great single. A rippling offering of psychedelic, sun-burnt sorcery of the high standard we've come to expect from the Australian outfit. The track comes ahead of the band's second album, Every Now & Then, which will be released this autumn. Which is all well and good but it's summer. You can't just drop one track and expect everyone to wait that long for new music, right?Well, fear not, for as with most music-based situations of this kind, Optimo are on hand to help. The Glasgow dons have given "O B 1" a punishing, spacey retelling that scorches even more arid land, and kicks up even more dust, than the original. This is fast-paced psychedelia. The sort of burning arpeggios that are best suited to long afternoons tearing down highways on opiates—not that we'd condone any behavior that's obviously death-friendly of course. The remix comes alongside one other rework courtesy of Circle Sky, but if you pushed us, we'd have to say this is the pick of the bunch. Check out the stern roller below.
