Prepare to Get Deliriously Dreamy with Vaporwave Sensation 2814's "Shinjitsu no Koi"

It's Tuesday. All you need is amazing cyberfuture ambient vaporwave, right? Right.

2814 are, if such a thing exists, vaporwave superstars. Vaporwave, for the uninitiated, seems to be a kind of bastardization of chillwave, which in turn was the stepson of hypnagogic pop which was really a kind of slightly psychedelic version of slacker indie pop. It's better than it sounds, honestly, and 2814 are as good as it gets.

Comprising of t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 and Hong Kong Express, the group is one of the very few in the scene who work entirely without samples. Their triumphant LP 新しい日の誕生 originally surfaced as a super, super limited edition batch of CDRs before Not Not Fun picked it up for a cassette release. Recently Dream Catalogue, the label run by the members of 2814, started an indiegogo project to get the album committed to wax. Within days they'd hit their target and the world will duly see a 2xLP version of it.

Two years later, where does Vaporwave stand?

In the meantime, why not get yourself deep into bed, get the exclusive track below on, and slip into a world of neon and rain, mist and memory. You won't look back. NNF boss Britt Brown told us that it's "amazing cyberfuture ambient vaporwave" — he's right. Delve right in.
