Project Pablo Throws a Lasso Around Summer with His New Remix for South London's Church Label

Amsterdam heroes San Proper & Beesmunt's Soundsystem's charming new collaboration officially feels like Pablo.

South London's Church label has made it abundantly clear their taste for releasing dreamy house music, and their most recent release from Amsterdam locals San Proper and Beesmunt Soundsystem won't be changing that in the slightest. Dubbed Simcha Riddim, the new 12" revolves around a platter of subdued drum taps and slender keys that whisk like a summer night's breeze—entities further blossomed in the hands of Canadian groove specialist, Project Pablo, who whisks up a slightly more floor-friendly remix to the track.

"David from Beesmunt Soundsytem sent over the original version of this not so long ago—he said they were working in the studio and San [Proper] knocked on the door with a guitar asking to jam and that was it," says Church boss Seb Wildblood over email. "The track was named after a friend of their's baby who arrived on the same day, Simcha. We thought this needed to be out for summer, well here we are on the borderline, we made it. Shouts to Patrick on the killer rework, true gent :)"
