Saucelord Rich Made a Thanksgiving Mix Your Whole Family Can Agree On

From classic Daft Punk to Nirvana, this one will have grandpa thinking kids these days aren't so bad after all.

It's here. Arguably the best holiday in existence. Thanksgiving is a time for appreciating everything we have in our lives, especially our loved ones. And while it's a day for being happy, we all know how quickly things can go awry when certain topics come up. Alongside politics and pop culture, one of those super divisive realms is music. Everyone disagrees on what to play over the speakers, elders yell at the youth about their taste (and vice versa), and you have to listen to your annoying cousin-in-law preach about how genius The Chainsmokers are.

This is where our good friend Saucelord Rich of Atlanta production team FKi comes in. Just in time for Thursday, he's gone ahead and made us a mix designed to prevent these potential family pitfalls. When thinking about Thanksgiving, Rich was reminded of songs that bring back memories of good times, zeroing in on favorites for people of all ages and musical tastes, from Daft Punk and Kraftwerk, to Gorillaz and Digable Planets (look out for a couple of his own productions, too). It's a mix seeks to bridge the generation gap that bubbles up when the whole family meets up to gobble turkey, while steering clear of anything too explicit or wild. No longer will you be forced to to hear your elders rambling the words "Y'all call this music?" Ultimately, it's just another way to remind ourselves of what we're really thankful for: good jams, and each other.
