Sink Into the Sounds of Tee Mango's Debut LP 'Imperfections Vol.1' in Full

The Millionhands man is self-releasing his first full length album.
Tee Mango (Tom Mangan).

Until relatively recently Tom Mangan's most celebrated output had been T-shirts. As Millionhands, Mangan has collaborated with the likes of R&S and International Feel in the pursuit of garmy goodness. Then last year Millionhands became a label as well, associating Mangan with lovely lilting house releases from the likes of Brasstronaut. It's now however—despite releasing music on and off for the past decade or so—that Mangan has finally felt ready to release an LP of his own. It's called Imperfections Vol.1 and we're streaming the whole thing on THUMP.

Listening to the album, it's immediately obvious why DJs from Leon Vynehall to Axel Boman have been dipping into the release with alarming regularity in recent weeks. The record is stuffed to the gills with a particular strain of wonky, interrupted but completely characterful house. Mangan describes the record as having been made during snatches of time—between running a business and being a father—and the end results reflect this positively. The music sounds spontaneous and lived-in; a mess of ideas excitedly thrown together with brilliant effect. Our personal highlights are "I See You Dancin'" and "Break of Dawn" but you can make up your own mind by listening below.
