Denver-based musician Thug Entrancer, real name Ryan McRyhew, made his debut on 0pn's Software Recording Co. last year with Life After Death, a melange of footwork, house, and techno derivations concocted in a synth experimentalist's lab. Now he's back on the label with Arcology, which the press release describes as "a sonic narrative of an imagined alien colony existing between the fabric of known and unknown worlds."

"Curaga" is the lead single, and finds the producer employing acid house sounds toward a psychedelic and uplifting end. "'Curaga' is an expression of health and regeneration," McRyhew explained to THUMP via email. "A dedication to moving beyond the past and pushing towards the future. Part of my personal restoration is using the practice of letting go of the things I can't change, accepting the past. In the context of Arcology; 'Curaga' serves as a soundtrack to traversing the multiverse. It's an exploration phase dedicated to recovery, space travel therapy." Check it out below, and be sure to snag Arcology when it's out next year on March 4.
