There's nothing like freshly-oiled, chrome-plated, and steam-spitting tech house.

Swedish producer, Tiger Stripes, has shared a bombastic new track called "Body Shake" off his forthcoming EP for Adam Beyer's Truesoul label, which falls under the umbrella of his acclaimed Drumcode imprint. With today's music production software, you can turn your digital audio workstation (DAW) into a lot of things; here, Tiger Stripes, AKA Mikael Nordgren, turns it into a freshly-oiled, chrome-plated engine, spitting out steam, tensely pocketed percussion, and a vocal sample chucking out the track's title phrase in precise granulation.

The track is going to have a delightful impact in a club, and Nordgren confirmed to THUMP via email that this was his plan. "As a DJ I don't always enjoy playing my own tracks but with 'Body Shake' it is a pleasure," he explained. "It's great to see how it instantly grabs people's attention and raises the energy on the dance floor. And then after the break, when the mood of the track changes, it brings the crowd on a deeper journey." The track is premiering today on THUMP, have a listen below, and pick up the Body Shake EP when it's out March 21.

THUMP named Tiger Stripes' 2015 track "Brr," also released on Truesoul, the 26th best track of the year.
