Tom Demac Celebrates 10 Years of Hypercolour with Elegiac New Track

London producer Tom Demac has shared his elegiac contribution to UK imprint Hypercolour's forthcoming 10 year anniversary compilation. Underpinned by sluggish subbass and a keen sense of romanticism, "Hanging Flowers Of Albion" is most animated in its percussive movements, which pull and flutter in haptic textural arrangements evoking woven fabrics such as shearling or felt.

The artist gave THUMP some backstory for the track via email. "This song is named after the hanging flower baskets outside our local boozer The Albion in East London," he said. "Probably not the most fitting scene for such an emotional piece of music but…"

Very fittingly for today's festivities, two years ago delivered a steroidal remix of Luke Vibert's "Halloween," also for Hypercolour.

Hypercolour 10 Years will be relased on the 3LP format on November 11.
