Basement Jaxx is Back (and They Stopped By THUMP HQ)

We picked their brains on release of "Junto"

It's been 15 years since Basement Jaxx had the world first grooving to tracks like "Red Alert" and "Where's Your Head At?" They're tunes that will flood dancefloors until we're all old, rickety and almost deaf. Those songs do what so few can: harken back to a very specific moment in culture while remaining timeless all the same.

The duo behind the beats, Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton, are back with their seventh studio album, Junto, released this week, and like its predecessors, it creates some magical timeless moments that sound as good in clubs as in your earbuds.

THUMP sat down with the duo to discuss where their heads are actually at regarding the state of music, their careers and the world.
