Ride the Delorean in Alex Metric's Retrofuturistic "Drum Machine" Video

The UK producer is serving 808 booty beats for Big Beat/OWSLA.

If Bonnie and Clyde and Miami Vice had a cross-over moment, it would look a lot like the video for Alex Metric's "Drum Machine." In this new clip from director Mister Whitmore, we follow two well-dressed renegades on the run in their souped-up station wagon, armed only with the big ass sound system strapped to the roof.

It's like a club kid rendition of the iconic album art from Sonic Youth's 1990 LP, Goo. You know—the drawing of that dark, handsome man at the wheel of his car with his arm draped over his girl, and the text in the corner that reads: "I stole my sister's boyfriend. It was all whirlwind, heat, and flash. Within a week we had killed my parents and hit the road." Something like that.

This infectious, stripped-back 808 track is out now via Big Beat and Skrillex's OWSLA label as part of Metric's four-track Ammuntion Pt. 4 EP. It features fellow Brits The New Sins on vocals.
