Jay-Z e Kendrick Lamar são os nomes mais indicados ao Grammy 2018

Todo ano, o Grammy causa controvérsia, seja pela categorização de certos artistas, pessoas que se recusam a submeter seus trabalhos (esse ano, foi o Drake) e uma sensação de que a Academia é mais do que só um pouquinho preconceituosa (como a Adele ganhando um prêmio que até ela mesma achava que a Beyoncé devia ter ganhado). Esse ano, porém, as indicações parecem ao menos refletir a opinião popular um pouco mais que o normal.

JAY-Z e Kendrick Lamar lideram o caminho com oito e sete indicações cada respectivamente, incluindo para ambos Álbum do Ano (junto a Lorde, Childish Gambino e Bruno Mars). Músicos como SZA, Khalid e Lil Uzi Vert também ganharam indicações, na categoria de Melhor Revelação.

Cardi B continua a ser o sucesso do ano, conquistando o mesmo número de indicações que o queridinho dos Grammys Ed Sheeran (ambos têm dois). É um ano interessante e, embora os Grammys nunca poderão refletir adequadamente o estado da indústria da música (pra começar, artistas aclamados pela crítica como Future e St. Vincent foram desprezados), esse lote de indicações, pelo menos, parece uma pequena melhoria quando se trata de reconhecer o que as pessoas estiveram ouvindo. Como sempre, no entanto, estamos aguardando pra ver se a lista de vencedores estará de acordo com isso em 28 de janeiro. Veja as indicações abaixo:
